Cancelling an AOL account. The site is called www.insignificantthoughts.com I became astounded by the customer service in America itself.

I remember an era when my friends were cancelling our AOL accounts sometime in 2001 for Cable (or DSL) and I recall some of them telling me about the annoying nuisance they had to go throught when they had to cancel their accounts. One of them actually screamed at the representative and just told his/her life and how they were no co-operating w/ him on cancelling the account.

When my turn came to cancel the account I remember some "friendly-corporate" guy apologizing that I was no longer interested on AOL.

The conversation was rather peaceful since he asked me why I wanted to cancel the account....I didn't realize I was going to be stuck in a pointless debate of software...

I politely answered the software flaws about AOL as well as the dialing problems I was having in the town I was living at the time. He guy insisted that AOL was doing their best in making changes on their new version of AOL. I recall debating that (to me) AOL 7.0 was a faster software on my computer than the newer versions. The representative was saying why don't I write a letter to the customer dept to make the software better and I think I said I wasn't interested because I didn't have time... I didn't realize this chat would take 30-45 minutes... funny enough, the conversation was long enough for me to forget the purpose of calling AOL. But ultimately I came to my senses and said:

"Stop insisting me to keep my aol account. I'm a computer programmer and i work at the Software dept in my company stop telling me how the AOL software is good."

The customer representative said that if I cancelled my AOL account and switch to a new ISP (internet service provider) I would be exposed to viruses/hacks/ etc... I told him that I don't use "popular software" due to their inconsistencies with the O/S I use and I'm well aware of my decision.

"fine..." was all the representative said.

Then he started reading me some end of contract and after he was done I told him "no thanks" (I think he was offering new gadgets) and then got the AOL termination message. Interestingly enough I was able to use my account for 2 days free after cancelling my account.

And then I started College and the T3 connections... The end of the Kazaa era?

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

How To Cancel the AOL account

- Contact Customer Service
- Search for an option to speak to a representative (if that fails keep pressing # until you're directed to a live operator and say you want to cancel your account)
- you will be fowarded to a cancel account representative
- you may or may not be exposed to questions as to why you're cancelling the account. The tone will sound friendly from the representative and if you start answering the questions you will have a long conversation until you cancel the account.. AVOID CONVERSATIONS.
- make sure the representative hears "respect my decision, do not insist"
- by then you will have your account cancelled

Living in Little Britain Part 2

It's another quiet day. lots of rain and everything is groovy.

I remember London quite well.. The parties, the business, the work, the research, and of course.... The awesome nightlife. It's a great place to live but the taxes are bloody high for a newbie making a debut. I have to say that I made a lot of friends and had a wonderful time with the people I met at work and in school.

After a long long time I finally reunite with old friends from the old days. It's awesome when I think about it, after all this time it seems that we all have the same chemistry and our personalities hasn't changed a bit. We look older and probably wiser...in contrast to our previous presence, lol.

Return Return (Britain) + Unfinished story!

I'm Back.

I think one of these days we're going with the rest of the group to Monaco and Paris (at last!)
Europe is really cool... I've been thinking about it but I really don't like the states (been there done that) so I guess that explains why I'm here.

It's my last term here and there's so much to do. A shiny tranquil day really does it for me, and outside I see the visiting students from eastern europe having a nice smoke by the pond. The rest of the dudes went out to get drunk... and it's 3pm in the afternoon, lol... Excuse me while I go have a cup of coffee. Hi Teodorescu!

____________________________________
my original GI JOE tv series concept
As a kid I was the one in the neighborhood that had the entire GI Joe collection at home. Although I watched the "movie" and continuations I didn't quite liked the storyline. So whenever I got back home and played with the tanks, HQ's etc I created my own universe. The same characters but with a different background story. Ultimately making every day a great episode! I customized my GI Joe cities and the whole Cobra "empire" and by the time it was 1995 I stopped playing and focused in the world of computers... so what happened to my collection? I sold it, not all of it, but most 90% of it. I always wanted a strong story that really got the viewers wanting more and I even created a script for a GI JOE NES game (sequel to Taxan's) and a possibility of having up to 4 players in a game... So below this message is what I had created a storyline that really kicked @ss and removed a lot of the "kid-friendly" and "silly personalities" from some characters and making it more dynamic. Of course the list i wrote is incomplete but at least it gives you an idea of what my direction.... The whole thing was written when I was a kid... sometime in 1995.
____________________________________

GI JOE: HEROES

Commander Hawk: many of the gi joe fans remember him as "general hawk". I ultimately want to make him a general... but in the beginning of the 1st series and possibly 2nd series he will leader instead of Duke. An agile leader in his late early 30's, a brilliant leader with a lot of charisma. Very humble and brave, he was #1 in the military academy and decided to devote his life defending innocent lives. background story, in his youth he was awarded the Gen. Colton award (this award was made after the disappearance of Gen Colton) and many at that time speculated that he will be a great leader someday.

Sgt. Duke: this character shall remain the same as the Duke we know from the 80's TV series. He is in his 20's and has always regarded
Sgt. Scarlett: Duke's girlfriend and martial artist instructor.

Snake Eyes: late 20's.

Jinx: Snake Eye's student and a very talented fighter.

Cover Girl: Operations leader the Defiant.

Lt. Falcon: In my storyline, he is not Duke's brother. In fact, he's nothing like the Falcon we all know from the movie/tv series. He is a reserved hot shot, womanizer with a personality intelligence like James Bond. He has the ability to speak many languages and often acts as representative in many foreign meetings.

Admiral Keel: He was one of the original GI Joe Squad that went after Cobra Commander 20 years ago. He leads the NAVY force aboard the USS Flagg and has the Night Force squadron in his base. His attitude is like Admiral Global from robotech and has a history in various fields. His son is the leader (Maverick) of the Steel Brigade.

General Flagg: The current GI JOE general. He seldomly leaves the Defiant HQ and makes sure everyone around the world are safe from danger. His nephew is Starduster.

Sgt. Slaughter: drill instructor and leader of Night Force & The Renegades. When everything fails, Sgt Slaughter and his elite team are likely to accomplish any mission.

Sgt. Fridge: drill instructor and member of The Renegades. A close friend of Sgt. Slaughter, both are unstoppable when it comes down to fighting hundreds of BATS by themselves. There will be a fight that both will face Golobulus and even then that will not be enough to take down a huge alien like that!

___________________________________

COBRA VILLIANS

___________________________________
Cobra Commander: A highly trained leader in Cobra. He is a brilliant scientist, philosopher, tactician, warrior and a madman. He is about 46 years old, well built, and athletic posture. CC has a desire to conquer the world and wants to eliminate his nemesis, Admiral Keel. CC's biggest secret is that he was once a GI Joe but his evil jealousy, ambition drew him to the dark side. I think a flashback episode (possibly around 2nd series) there will be a scene CC in Antartica, and Gen Colton and the 1st generation of GI JOE tracked his hidden HQ. In that flashback scene, Colton unmasks Cobra Commander and fight...somewhere in that fight CC's will be disfigured... and by then Golobulus appears and grabs Colton and throws him into the abyss. It is then that Golobulus makes this pact with an Injured CC to help him destroy humanity.

Golobulus: A half-snake/human being of an alien race that arrived on earth millions of years. He rules a city called Zharos and there's a portal located in antartica. He has superhuman powers and is extremely powerful. He has seen humanity progress in technology and is very cautious of exposing his civilians to the earth realm. He gives Cobra Commander and Serpentor they need to fight against any army against them. This character will only appear once in the flashback scene, and perhaps later in the future episodes will have more story on him. He salvaged a young cobra commander by attacking Gen Colton. He will instruct Cobra commander

Serpentor: Cobra Emperor, a legendary ruler of ruthless warriors dating back in the 300 AC. He was a normal human with ambitions of enslaving europe. he was severely injured in combat with the heroes in his time. it was then that he encountered a half-human snake monster, Golobulus, and serpentor was healed and was given genetic powers which explains for his strength and leadership skills.

Nemesis Enforcer: Golobulus's guardian. A very powerful superhumanoid and is capable of beating down 200 GI Joe's by himself! He is probably every Joe's nightmare if they were to fight him. His only match will be the GI joe ninja force (Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, TJ Bang, Dojo, Banzai, Bushido, Nunchuk, Scarlett)

Pythona: Golobulus's advisor.

Destro: Weapon's dealer, and has a HQ Factory in Arabia known as the Iron Temple (base of the Iron Grenadiers). He is also Cobra Commander's advisor & "friend".

Baroness: Destro's lover. She is a Cobra spy and leader of the Mayhem squadron.

Interrogator: Dr. Mindvender's comrade in science and one of the right hand men of Cobra Commander. Interrogator is a madman who like to experiment with people's psychology.
